Toba Bible translation progress
Marilyn Appleby
As you may be aware, Michael Browne retired recently and is now living in Liverpool.
Moving from the climate of Argentina to our typical winter climate has been something of a culture shock for him and his family, but we pray that life will become easier for them and that they will soon become acclimatised!
However, although living in Liverpool, Michael is still involved with Bible translation for the Toba people in Argentina. He is working remotely via Zoom but unreliable internet services means that often work has to come to a halt which is very frustrating for Michael and the rest of the team. This means they have not been able to make much progress with the checking of the book of Jeremiah. They have the last 3 chapters still to check through.
January is the summer holidays in Argentina, so the next planned team meeting will not be until February.
Please pray for Michael, his wife Silvia, and their sons Kevin and Chris, that any difficulties involved in their move to England will be ironed out, and please pray also that the translation work can make headway so that Michael can complete the work of bringing God’s word to the Toba people.
Commit your work to the Lord,
and your plans will be established.
